ulterior estate
The estate created by a gift over, to take effect upon the determination of a particular estate; that is, an estate in remainder. Johnston's Estate, 185 Pa 179, 39 A 879. A future interest, that is, an estate limited after a preceding estate. 28 Am J2d Est § 208.
