The distance from which discernible objects, reasonably expected or anticipated to be upon the highway, may be observed. Snook v Long, 241 Iowa 665, 42 NW2d 76, 21 ALR2d 1; Anno: 31 ALR2d 1424. The "assured clear distance ahead" of a motorist traveling at night, Linder a statute prohibiting a speed greater than will permit a motorist to stop within such distance, is the limit of his vision ahead afforded by the lights of his car, in the absence of any intermediate discernible obstruction.
