chattels real
Interests in real estate less than freehold, such as estates for years, at will and by sufferance, which are personalty except as modified by statute. 42 Am J1st Prop § 25. A lease of real estate for a term of years constituting an estate less than a freehold estate is a chattel real which passes a present interest in real property. Abraham v Fioramonte, 158 Ohio St 213, 107 NE2d 321, 33 ALR2d 1267.
