An abbreviation for "cost, freight and assurance," sometimes used in mercantile transactions, especially in England. The letters in such form have also been used in mercantile transactions as an abbreviation of "cost and freight." 46 Am J1st Sales § 136. See cost and freight; cost, insurance, and freight.
