Suspendatur per collum
Let him be hanged by the neck. These Latin words in their abbreviated form "sus. per coil.," were written opposite the name of a convict sentenced to be hanged in the calendar or list of all the prisoners' names, with their separate judgments in the margin. See 4 Bl Comm 403.
