stockholders' meeting
A meeting of the stockholders of a corporation called for the purpose of electing directors and transacting other business requiring the action or consent of the stockholders, such as, amendment of the articles or certificate of the corporation, sale or mortgage of corporate assets, consolidation and merger, etc. 19 Am J2d Corp § 599.
