Squib Case
The celebrated case of Scott v Shepherd, 2 W Bl 892, 1 Smith Leading Cas 797, wherein the defendant was held liable to the plaintiff for putting out his eye, as a result of having thrown a lighted squib into a market whence several persons successively picked it up and threw it from them until it exploded and put out the plaintiff's eye. 38 Am J1st Negl § 77.
