Broadly, a term of court. Precisely, a time during a term of court when the court actually sits for the transaction of business. 20 Am J2d Cts § 44. The time during which the court is in fact holding court at the place appointed, and engaged in business. Re Gannon, 69 Cal 541, 545, 11 P 240.
