satisfaction of judgment

satisfaction of judgment
Compliance with or fulfillment of the mandate, such ordinarily being the payment of the money due thereunder. 30A Am J Rev ed Judgm § 990. The release of a judgment as "paid" or "satisfied." As used in a clause of a liability insurance policy requiring action to be brought against the insurer within a certain time after the judgment against the insured has been paid and satisfied, the word "satisfied" is synonymous with the word "paid." It means satisfaction in fact, the payment of the judgment in full, and not the entry of that satisfaction upon the record. 29A Am J Rev ed Ins § 1798.
