reimburse
To place in a treasury, as all equivalent for what has been taken, lost, or expended; to refund; to pay back; to restore; as to reimburse the expenses of a war. State ex rel. Sayre v Moore, 40 Neb 854, 59 NW 755. To replenish the funds of a person after payments made by him. To make good losses suffered. See contribution; indemnify; restitution.
