A method of determining beforehand who is eligible to vote at any given election. State ex rel. Walker v Bridges, 27 NM 169, 199 P 370. A process in which applicants furnish information respecting age, residence, literacy, and any other matter affecting the qualification for voting, and sign their names in the book in which such information is recorded by way of authentication of the information and as a means of identification when they appear on election day to vote. 25 Am J2d Elect § 105.
