re-cross-examination
The re-examination of a witness by the other party after the party who called him has re-examined him following his cross-examination. It is proper to limit the re-cross-examination of a witness who has been examined and fully cross-examined and subsequently recalled and re-examined in chief, to the matters testified to by the wit ness on such re-examination. 58 Am J1st Witn § 563.
