prima facie evidence

prima facie evidence
Evidence which if unexplained or uncontradicted, is sufficient to carry the case to the jury and to sustain a verdict or finding in favor of the side of the issue which it supports, but which may be contradicted by other evidence. McKenzie v Standard Acci. Ins. Co. 198 SC 109, 16 SE2d 529. That is prima facie just, reasonable, or correct which is presumed to be just, reasonable, or correct until the presumption has been overcome by evidence which clearly rebuts it. Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Co. v State, 23 Okla 210, 100 P 11.
