The International Court of Arbitration, known as the Hague Tribunal, established by the International Peace Conference in 1899. This tribunal was succeeded by the Permanent Court of International Justice, established in 1920 under the auspices of the League of Nations, which in turn was succeeded by the International Court of Justice, established as the judicial branch of the United Nations organization. 30 Am J Rev ed Intenat L § 54.
