The condition or quality of the mind which renders one criminally responsible for his acts; an essential of criminal responsibility. State v Pinski (Mo) 163 SW2d 785. Sufficient capacity to know and understand in a reasonable manner the nature and character of the transaction engaged in. Shelton v Shelton, (Tex Civ App) 281 SW 331, 334.
