judicial day
A day upon which court is in session. State v C.C.A. Judges, 48 La Ann 1079, 20 So 282. (Civil law.) One of the twenty-eight days which were allowed in each year to the praetor for deciding cases. These days were called triverbial days, because on these days the praetor announced his jurisdiction in the words: do, dico, addico,–I give, I say, I adjudge. See 3 Bl Comm 424.
