involuntary alienation
A parting with the title to property resulting from its attachment, levy and sale for taxes or debts due from the owner, or from proceedings in insolvency, bankruptcy, or otherwise, whereby the owner is deprived of his interest in the property. Manierre v Welling, 32 RI 104, 78 A 507.
