- A phrase customarily added to the indorsement of the collecting bank. It is questionable whether the phrase adds anything to the liability of the bank as an indorser. Some authorities limit its meaning to the fact that the payee named actually indorsed the instrument. 11 Am J2d B & N §§ 616, 624.
