An institution for the reception, education, and training of wayward, incorrigible, or vicious youths or youths from broken homes or whose parents are incapable or unworthy of caring for children, where they may be inculcated with habits of industry and morality and be free from the corrupting influence of bad associates. 26 Am J1st House of C § 2.
