imputed negligence
The negligence of one person which, by reason of his relation to another person, is chargeable to that person. 38 Am J1st Negl § 234. A ground for defeating liability for negligence by charging the plaintiff with the concurrent negligence of a third person, thereby rendering the defense of contributory negligence available. 38 Am J1st Negl §§ 235 et seq. Also a basis for charging the negligence of one person to another in establishing the liability of the latter to a third person. 38 Am J1st Negl § 253.
