illegal consideration
An act or forbearance, or a promise to act or forbear, which is contrary to law or public policy. 17 Am J2d Contr § 157. An illegal consideration is insufficient to support a contract, and an agreement founded upon it is illegal. Smith v Southwestern Bell Tel. Co. (Okla) 349 P2d 646, 83 ALR2d 454.
