Hobbs Act

Hobbs Act
A federal Anti-racketeering Act. 18 USC § 1951. A statute manifesting a purpose to use all the constitutional power of Congress to punish interference with interstate commerce by extortion, robbery, or physical violence. Stirone v United States, 361 US 212, 4 L Ed 2d 252, 80 S Ct 270.
