great-grandchild
The son or daughter of one's grandchild. Ordinarily not a "grandchild" within the meaning of such term as it appears in a will by way of designation of a beneficiary, although such construction will be adopted where necessary to carry out the intention of the testator as such appears from the entire context. Anno: 104 ALR 309. A relative in the third degree of kinship according to the civil law method of computing degrees of kinship which prevails in most American jurisdictions. 23 Am J2d Desc & D § 48.
