A house kept for the purpose of permitting persons to resort to it for gambling. 24 Am J2d Disord H § 3. A place to which persons are permitted to resort for gambling. Buckley v O'Niel, 113 Mass 193. A place whose use is intended to facilitate gambling and where sporting characters are invited to congregate for purposes of illegal amusement and gain, and to stake money or other thing of value upon trials of chance, skill, or endurance.
