As a ground of divorce, the same in meaning as "cruel and inhuman treatment" and "intolerable severity." 24 Am J2d Divorce § 32. Not confined to physical violence, but including conduct that wounds the feelings and sensibilities so grievously as to impair physical or mental health. 24 Am J2d Div & S § 35.
