employers' liability acts

employers' liability acts
Statutes in reference to an employer's liability for negligence resulting in injury to an employee, the most of which abrogate the fellow servant doctrine and limit the defenses of contributory negligence and the doctrine of assumption of risk (35 Am J1st M & S §§ 395 et seq.), including the Federal Employers' Liability Act relative to common carriers by railroad engaged in interstate commerce and their employees. 35 Am J1st M & S §§ 398 et seq.
