The profit arising from office or employment; that which is received as compensation for services, or which is annexed to the possession of office as salary, fees, and perquisites; advantage; gain, public or private. State ex rel. Todd v Reeves, 196 Wash 145, 82 P2d 173, 118 ALR 177. Indirect or contingent remunerations which may or may not be earned; remunerations in the nature of compensation or in the nature of reimbursement.
