eleemosynary corporation
A corporation created for or devoted to charitable purposes or one supported by charity. 15 Am J2d Char § 145. A corporation created, not for private gain or profit, but for the administration of a charitable trust or for a charitable purpose, such as the maintenance of a hospital. Gilbert v McLeod Infirmary, 219 SC 174, 64 SE2d 524, 24 ALR2d 60.
