distress infinite
A series of distresses made one after another until satisfaction for the wrong done has been made by the owner of the distrained property. A distress of this nature has no bounds with regard to its quantity and may be repeated from time to time until the stubbornness of the party is conquered. It is used sometimes for extraordinary purposes such as summoning jurors. See 3 Bl Comm 231.
