Of ecclesiastical goods,–the name of a species of writ of execution which was only used against ecclesiastics. The writ was given after the sheriff had made his return upon a common writ of execution stating that the defendant was a beneficed clerk, not having any lay fee. See 3 Bl Comm 418.
