Civil Air Patrol
A corporation created by federal statute, the purposes of which are encouragement and aid to citizens in the contribution of their efforts, services, and resources in the development of aviation and the maintenance of air supremacy, and the making of provision for aviation education and training of senior and cadet members. 36 USC §§ 201, 202.
