telephone company
A company, usually a corporation, engaged in the business of furnishing for compensation the means of communication by telephone and rendering services allied with such communication business. The term embraces all corporations, associations, and individuals owning or operating any telephone line or exchange in the state. Anne: 21 ALR 1171.
