soldier's will

soldier's will
The informal will of a soldier, whether oral or in writing, rendered valid, where the will of a person in another occupation would be invalid, under an exception from formalities required to be observed in the execution of wills generally, recognized because of the dangers, diseases, disasters, and the possibility of sudden death constantly besetting a soldier and the inability of such a person to find the time or the means to make a deliberate and written testamentary disposition. 57 Am J1st Wills § 661.
