A relatively simple form of indictment prescribed by statute. 27 Am J1st Indict § 53. A form of pleading authorized by statute or rule of practice in stating a cause of action upon a promissory note, bill of exchange, or other instrument for the unconditional payment of money only. 12 Am J2d B & N § 1100.
