Those persons who attend upon the respective combatants in the fighting of a duel and who attend to the requisite formalities, before and after the combat. Those persons who attend upon the participants in a boxing match or prize fight. Articles of merchandise with some defects or imperfections, but nevertheless of value. The terms "firsts" and "seconds" are terms of quality, common in mercantile usage. See Iselin v United States, 271 US 136, 138, 70 L Ed 872, 873, 46 S Ct 458.
