Lands set apart from the public domain, the proceeds from the sale of which can be used only for educational purposes. 47 Am J1st Sch §§ 62 et seq. Lands reserved for the purpose of being applied to schools in the territories of New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Dakota, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming and in the states and territories carved out of them, by section 1946 of the Revised Statutes of the United States, providing that sections 16 and 36 in each township should be thus reserved.
