The right to the custody of the dead body of a person for the purpose of burial, such as the right of surviving spouse or child of the decedent. 22 Am J2d Dead B § 7. The privilege or license of the owner of a burial lot in a cemetery, the same to be enjoyed so long as the place continues to be used as a burial ground, subject to municipal regulation and control, and legally revocable whenever the public necessity requires. 14 Am J2d Cem § 31.
