poor man's oath
An oath taken by a person arrested under a body execution, whereby he may be discharged. 30 Am J2d Exec § 875. An affidavit, made by a plaintiff who, having a just cause of action against the defendant, is, by reason of his poverty, unable to give security for costs, stating that such is the fact. Cole v Hoeburg, 36 Kan 263, 13 P 275.
