parking lot
A place for the parking of motor vehicles, usually for a charge. Ex parte Mobile Light & Railroad Co. 211 Ala 525, 101 So 177, 34 ALR 921, 923. A place off the streets where automobiles may be parked, that is, left under the care of the proprietor of the place. A place where automobiles may be driven, left parked or standing, and removed by the owner at pleasure, normally operated for compensation in the form of a fee for the privilege of parking. 24 Am J1st Garag § 3.
