Nineteenth Amendment

Nineteenth Amendment
The amendment to the United States Constitution, the ratification of which was completed on August 26, 1920, the effect of which is to erase from the constitution and laws of each state every provision restricting the right of women to vote, and to make women legal voters to the same extent to which the right of suffrage has been conferred on men by the respective states.
