Conduct on the part of the jury which impairs the trial from the standpoint of fairness and propriety, such as obtaining and acting upon information outside the evidence adduced at the trial, acting on the personal knowledge of a juror or jurors, expressions of prejudice, partiality, or antagonism toward one of the parties, separation without authority, etc. 39 Am J1st New Tr §§ 70 et seq.
