The work of a midwife, that is assisting a woman in childbirth. Sometimes regarded more highly as the practice of obstetrics. Commonwealth v Porn, 196 Mass 326, 82 NE 31; State v Banti, 163 Tex Crim 89, 289 SW2d 247.
