habitual drunkard
One who drinks intoxicating liquors to excess and with habitual frequency, as the opportunity permits. One who has lost the power or will to control his appetite for intoxicating liquors or narcotics, and has the fixed habit of drunkenness. 29 Am J Rev ed Ins Per § 8.
