An agent authorized to perform all acts connected with the business or employment in which he is engaged; one authorized to conduct on behalf of a principal a series of transactions involving a continuity of service; one authorized to bind his principal by an act within the scope of his authority, notwithstanding it may be contrary to his special instructions. 3 Am J2d Agency § 6.
