- A federal statute which makes provision for a national space program, declaring that it is the policy of the United States that activities in space should be devoted to peaceful purposes for the benefit of all mankind; a federal statute establishing and providing for the organization and functions of the National Aeronautics and Space Council, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the Civilian-Military Liaison Committee. 42 USC §§ 2451-2476.
