disturbance of tenure

disturbance of tenure
The breaking of the relation which subsisted between a lord and his tenant. To have an estate well tenanted was an advantage to every landlord and the driving away of a tenant from his estate was a considerable injury for the redress of which an action on the case lay at common law.
