- dissolution of attachment or garnishment
- The termination of an attachment or garnishment upon the happening of certain events or contingencies after the levy, upon the entry or receipt of security, or as the result of some act or proceeding taken for the express purpose of defeating or nullifying the attachment or garnishment. There is a distinction between the "dissolution" of an attachment and the quashing of a levy; in a proper case a levy may be set aside and the writ of attachment stand. 6 Am J2d Attach § 408.
