deraignment of title
A statute requiring the complainant to set forth the "deraignment of his title" means that he must show (a) title in himself from the government, (b) title in himself by adverse possession, (c) title in himself from the defendant, or a better title than that of the defendant, tracing both his title and that of the defendant to a common source. Smith v Overstreet, 205 Miss 488, 38 So 2d 923.
