The impact of two or more motor vehicles. If unlimited by other provisions of the policy, the term "collision," in an automobile insurance policy covering the risk of collision, means coming in contact with anything that could be described as an object, irrespective of whether it is moving or stationary or whether it is on the same plane or level as the motor vehicle which hit it. Anno: 23 ALR2d 398; 7 Am J2d Auto Ins § 59. The term "collision" in a motor carrier liability policy has been held to include contact between the load on a truck with an object, such as an overhead bridge, but it is not to be said under the present state of the authorities, that this is a view which is certain to be followed in all jurisdictions. 29A Am J Rev ed Ins § 1357.
