Calvinism

Calvinism
The theological doctrine of the Presbyterian church, of which doctrine John Calvin was the first expounder. Its polity consists in self-government through chosen representatives, rejecting alike the rule of one man, and the rule of the extemporized and irresponsible assembly. Ramsey v Hicks, 174 Ind 428, 91 NE 344.
